Bogani Nani Wartabone National Park, formerly known as Dumoga Bone, has a variety of unique ecological because it is part of the central region of Wallace. Wallace geographic area is a meeting place for typical wildlife and plants of Asia and Australia mainland.

This resulted this area is very important because of storing endemic and unique biological wealth, becoming water catchment area which is the main water source for most of the rivers that flow in the Bolaang Mongondow and Gorontalo area, as well as supporting the needs of clean water for life everyday society, agricultural irrigation, and industrial.

In addition, this area holds the outstanding potential of natural attractions, such as natural scenery, wild life attractions, and natural phenomena that can be developed to support the economy of the surrounding community.
